B.C. is enacting a community protection order to move homeless individuals staying in tent town encampments into motels in Vancouver and Victoria through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ministers Mike Farnworth, Shane Simpson and Judy Darcy made the announcement Saturday morning, with representatives from BC Housing. The master plan is sustained by an order beneath the crisis Program Act as well as the continuous provincial state of crisis.
